In 2005, he finished his study in IMI, a famous music institute in Indonesia. He then studied abroad in Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA from 2005 to 2007. As he discovered a new level of musical education, he had to choose a specialization field from the diverse array of possibilities. It took him a while to decide on his major, but he finally chose Film Scoring despite his strong background in performance. All his education, both in Indonesia and in Berklee, have enhanced Willy’s expertise in composing, arranging, and MIDI programming. He has also become adept at utilizing cutting edge computer technology to aid him in musical composition, arrangement, and programming. He graduated from Berklee in 2007 with Cum Laude honor.

Willy’s other experiences include playing piano and keyboard in a band who has been playing around Jakarta, Indonesia. He has also been making music demos for pictures, commercials, and music arrangements. Right now he is working mainly on Indonesian Films and a part timer lecturer at Universitas Pelita Harapan
